      Edward Laws is a professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences in the College of the Coast&Environment at Louisiana State University and a founding team member and investigator in the Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. In addition to the earlier editions of Aquatic Pollution, he is the author of El Nino and the Peruvian Author: Edward A. Laws. The symposium provided a forum for discussing the state of the art in modeling the fate and effect of toxic substances in the environment.
